Recently, after a month of commissioning, the cold rolling depot unmanned driving transformation project of Guangxi Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd., constructed by Beijing Bestpower Intercontrol Co., Ltd.(abbr. BPI) , was put into production.

As a leading enterprise of intelligent control of industrial production in China, BPI relied on core technologies such as precise positioning of crane, advanced anti-swing control, redundant laser collision protection, intelligent clamp transformation, etc., researched and developd customized crane automatic system, intelligent material identification and tracking system, intelligent warehouse management system, and ground centralized control center for customers. Loading, unloading and stack transfer of the cold rolling depot has the functions of automatic operation process, intelligent dispatching, path optimization, intelligent storage location recommendation, safety protection, 3D monitoring of warehouse and equipment operation status, etc. So that the intelligent warehouse management system has realized self-decision, the unmanned crane and steel coil transportation system could be unified command, the equipment of acid rolling, galvanizing line and continuous annealing line walking beam has operated in collaboration.

This project met the production needs of each unit, realized unmanned operation, reduced labor costs and improved production efficiency. In addition, the unmanned crane system of cold rolling depot could record the location of each material in the warehouse at any time, and answered the question “Where is the material I need” precisely, which enriched and perfected the information stream of production, scheduling and management, greatly improved the information and intelligent level of the operation, and ensured the safe and efficient operation of the warehouse.
