On September 21, after a month of intense debugging, the continuous pickling steel production unit project of Liuzhou Steel Group was successfully put into operation. This project was contracted by Beijing Bestpower Intercontrol Co., Ltd.(abbr. BPI) for the electrical, automation and instrumentation systems. It was mainly responsible for the design, supply, programming, debugging and other work related to high-voltage power supply and distribution, low-voltage power distribution, electric drives, L1 automation system, L2 automation system, special instruments and intelligent equipment. The continuous pickling steel production unit consisted of a fully automatic continuous pickling unit, a semi-automatic packaging unit and supporting public and auxiliary facilities, with a designed annual output of 1 million tons. After being put into production, the cold rolling plant can produce carbon structural steel, high-quality carbon structural steel, low carbon steel, HSLA, HSS, DP and other high-quality steel. These steel products will be used in industries like automobiles, machinery, home appliances and construction, and can meet the demand for pickled steel in Guangxi, Guangdong and southwest regions in China. The smooth operation of the project will greatly enrich the product variety of Liuzhou Steel Group, optimize the product structure, and enhance the competitiveness of cold rolled products.
Independently develops intelligent equipment of BPI
In order to improve the operation efficiency, reduce the error rate and optimize the production rhythm, we have installed marking robot and unbaling robot, which was independently developed by BPI, at the operation side positions of the exit walking beam and the entrance walking beam preparation station respectively. These robots can operate fully automatically during the whole operation cycle.
The pickling data platform based on edge computing
On the basis of processing massive multivariate data by edge computing, we built a pickling data analysis platform and digital twin pickling control system to provide comprehensive data solutions for pickling line production and help owners manage and optimize the production process better.
Thanks to the powerful data processing capabilities of edge computing, the data platform we have built can access data from various sources and of different types. After unifomly defining and reconstituting of the data, the value of the data is maximized through analysis, processing, sharing, mining and other technical means. Meanwhile, we utilize data visualization tools and digital twin techniques to present important information such as production data, product quality and equipment status in a more intuitive way, so that owners can quickly and comprehensively understand the production situation and achieve efficient and scientific operation of the production line.
In the process of equipment debugging, the project team of BPI invested sufficient manpower to push forward the work in a sprint state, worked overtime to install and debug. The professional standard and service quality of BPI have been highly appraised by the owners.
