Recently, the thermal load test of Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), Ladle Furnace (LF) and Continuous Casting Machine (CCM) of Oran Green Steel Plant in Algeria was successfully completed, which marking the Tosyali Algeria Phase IV intergrated steel plant project has been completed and commissioned. This project was EPC contracted by Sinosteel Equipment & Engineering Co., Ltd. (abbr. Sinosteel MECC). Beijing Bestpower Intercontrol Co., Ltd.(abbr. BPI) undertook equipment supply, installation, debugging of electrical & automation control system, and on-site coordination management.

This project has a milestone significance, it has created the largest EAF project, as well as the first double-flew slab continuous casting line in Algeria.After the project is commissioned, the annual output of molten steel will be 2.3 million tons and the annual output of steel slab will be 2.15 million tons.

The main contents participated in and constructed by BPI include:

▶High and low voltage power supply and distribution system

▶High and low voltage drive system

▶Material Supply control system

▶Water treatment electric control system

▶Monitoring and dispatching system

Adhered to the purpose of serving owner and project well, BPI’s team overcame many adverse factors such as the limited construction period and tight debugging time. From  unpacking and inspection of equipment, installation and construction, equipment commissioning, and documents filing, BPI’s team organized every step in orderly manner, supervised and controlled project quality strictly, assisted the gerneral contractor Sinosteel MECC in doing a lot of on-site coordination. Finally, the project construction task was completed on schedule with high quality and quantity, the outstanding capabilities, top grade services and efficient management of BPI in large scale project overseas recognized by the owner and all parties.

In the future, BPI will continue to respond to the “The Belt and Road Initiatives”, explore overseas market actively, promote the international cooperation in Iron and Steel Industry by its own advantages.
