On October 3, 2023, three 2060m³ Blast Furnace of Guangxi Chiji Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., which was EPC contracted by Bestpower Intercontrol, was successfully put into operation.
Guangxi Chiji Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. located in Wuzhou harbor Economic Zone, which is a key construction project with largest investment by Wuzhou City in recent years. According to the manufacture requirement, the technical team of BPI intergrated the intelligent system with the traditional production environment, and carried out application debugging on intelligent hot-blast furnace burning, unmanned unloading on the tank, 3D visualization of blast furnace, digital twin, and blast furnace expert system.
1、3D visualization and digital twin
Dynamically match the status of production equipment through digital twin 3D visualization technology to generate visual presentations of the heat flow distribution map of furnace body, material tracking fitting, and medium flow velocity. Apply the integrated ironmaking platform for data process analysis to achieve the display and traceability of important data.
2、Intelligent burning model for hot-blast furnace
Technologies such as proportional extreme value adjustment method, intelligent data analysis guidance, and parameter optimization and tuning are used for intelligent analysis and evaluation of hot-blast furnace, and fuzzy thinking is applied to establish a mathematical model in sections to handle overshoot with high inertia and periodically correct fuel proportioning. Reduce excessive combustion air or gas so that hot-blast furnace is at optimal combustion state for the majority of the time.
3、Material management
Through dedicated network data communication, it interfaces with the ironmaking MES and testing system to obtain analysis data of the composition and physical properties of raw fuels, monitor the stock of raw materials. Data processing, classified storage management and traceability query are carried out for the ore tank and furnace tops.
4、Production process data management
Witch mechanism and data as the main means, it supervises and manages the production process and provides reasonable operation suggestions. Based on parameters such as the size of blast furnace, the weight and density of coke batches and ore batches, it simulates the distribution of charge in the furnace throat to the center line of the tuyere, and calculates the process parameters such as coke ratio, alkalinity, fuel ratio and blast furnace smelting cycle in real time.
5、Quality data management
Statistics the quality of molten iron, the grade and moisture of raw fuel, material pile ratio and trace elements, etc., which provide guiding suggestions to ensure the stability of the quality of molten iron.
6、Smelting cost and production report model
Keep track of, calculate and analyze the income and expenditure of materials. Calculate the smelting cost of the blast furnace according to the batching plan, and the daily smelting cost under different operating conditions.
Customize blast furnace produciton reports according to users’ requirements. It can provide data reports of specified type or furnace, and export in the form of EXCEL files, so that users can use and analyze the report, understand the on-site production information conveniently.
The successful operation of this project has facilitated Chiji Iron and Steel to build a domestic leading, highly efficient and energy-saving blast furnace production line, and to create an intelligent ironmaking system with the characteristics of BPI.
